How BirdieCap works
Complete an eligible round or enter a past score. BirdieCap uses adjusted gross score, course rating, slope, and holes played to create a score differential and update your trend.
Three scores to begin
Your entered handicap stays active until BirdieCap has three usable 18-hole equivalents. A building record uses WHS-style short-record rules; at 20 or more equivalents, the lowest 8 of the latest 20 are averaged.
9-hole golf handicap support
Eligible nine-hole scores can pair chronologically into an 18-hole equivalent when the selected tees include the required nine-hole rating and slope.

Is BirdieCap an official USGA Handicap Index or GHIN number?
No. BirdieCap is an unofficial, WHS-style index inside BirdieConnect. It is not issued, administered, or endorsed by the USGA, The R&A, GHIN, or an authorized golf association.
How many rounds do I need?
BirdieCap begins after three usable 18-hole equivalents. Before that, BirdieConnect shows the handicap entered by the golfer.
Does BirdieCap support 9-hole rounds?
Yes. Eligible nine-hole scores can be paired into an 18-hole equivalent when the required course rating and slope data are available.
Which formats count?
Supported individual scores from stroke play, skins, Stableford, and match play may count. Scramble and team best-ball scores do not count toward an individual BirdieCap.
